THE FRONT
Once upon a time there was a great deal of aggression and unnecessary antagonism. Many were saddened by the world they traipsed through and most keep their eyes low to the ground. As people shuffled along, staring at their shoelaces, even the pavement grew paranoid about their stares. The rain grew heavier and stank in the gutters. Hair loss was rife. Whole suburbs declared themselves clinically blue and park wardens fed wilting flowers anti-depressants. Architects designed holes for people to lie down and feel sad in. Where was the brightness? Where were those sweetening dashes of good-times-friendly soulstuff?
